What time of year are we in now?
Some may say cold, wintery, holiday, shopping, busy time of the year and I would say the ‘flu season’ or the season where someone may shout, “TURN UP THE HEAT, IT IS TOO COLD IN HERE". The fall season brings colors of various sorts to our lives and even to the outdoors. The leaves have such radiant and vibrant colors which we never see in the summer time. Browns, orange, reds and sometime I think even gold, but mostly browns. I like this season mainly because I may hide from the cold, but the heat, no way, I am unable to hide, and no amount of cooling down the air, does it for me. The humidity is a huge factor, but I am able to work out in the sun shine and boost up my immunity, which is a great benefit for my health. In the colder months, I would have to gather information on staying healthy. Here are a few health tips I am putting into practice this season.
In the fall and winter season:
1/. Dress with layers of clothing, before putting on the dress or suit.
2/. Make sure your home is heated to a safe temperature.
3/. Internally, boost your immune system, by making your body alkaline and you may choose to get a ‘flu shot’.
Nature speaks to us, should we be listen? Look at the trees. The trees are preparing for hibernation, during this winter season and the roots stay intact all winter long. What about us, what should we do when it is so cold? Hide away in the sunny Caribbean and enjoy the sun while nestling and bathing in the sun on the beach? Oh, yes, sounds really good to me. But most of us have families and careers, so we may choose to live and endure these cold wintery months. Hoping and praying that we are in good health and would survive throughout this season, until the summer month’s return.
In the winter season many would go to the outpatient clinic for a flu shot, but do you know what the ingredients are in these vaccines? Base on a few of the experts----you obtain this information from the World Wide Web: “Common flu Vaccines Toxins:
Antibiotics
Egg Protein
Formaldehyde
Human Aborted fetal Apparatus(dead human tissue)
Monosodium Glutamate(MSG)
Thimerosal (mercury)
Polysorbate 80
Stabilizers
The flu vaccine does contain the virus that it is preventing. Hence the reason why formaldehyde is said to be in the flu shot, to deactivate the virus and prevent the toxins from causing illness. Creating a situation then finding a solution to counteract that problem.
The stabilizer is animal protein, which is pork. For those that are against consumption of animal products or have an allergy to pork, this ingredient may be an issue. Most flu vaccines use a pig-based collagen as their stabilizers. But, for anyone with no problem eating candy or marshmallows, both of which use pig-base gelatin, the amount in a flu vaccine won’t be an issues. There are a few vaccines which do not contain animal products, but you may have to do some extensive research and request them. These include FLUCELVAX AND FLUBLOK, which may be widely available.
Here we give an alternative method for the flu shot: which may be strengthening to the immune system while protecting yourself from unwanted invasion.
2 dropper or 80 drops Organic oregano oil
4 oz ginger juice
10 oz lemon juice
Onion juice
1-2 oz Horse radish
1 pinch cayenne pepper
7 oz garlic (depending on the size of cloves).
Manuka Honey
Combine all ingredients except the honey, in a glass bowl and blend in a high speed blender for approximately 4-5 minutes or longer if needed. Add the honey to sweeten. Store in refrigerator for up to one (1) month. Use 1-2 tblsp every four (4) hours or as needed during the winter months for prevention of virus invasion and mainly to boost your immune system.
Look here!!! Another simple remedy to use along with alternative “flu shot”.
In a large basin add boiling water and place menthol Chrystal inside the boiling water. Keep inside the room where you sleep. May help with respiratory problems and aid by relieving congestion.
Be an investigator for your health. Having a healthy system doesn’t happen by chance, it’s a choice. Remember, this word HOMEOSTASIS; Homeo---standing---Statsis: Steady or balance. Ask yourself why I am I getting sick, what is the cause of the illness and what can be done to change the situation? Be your own investigator and turn on the search light inward. The choice is yours: take the ‘flu shot’ or not to take the ‘flu shot’.

Subject: Garlic - Cold and Flu Fighter
We’re coming up on winter time again, and for many that means more colds, flus, coughs, sniffles and other annoying ills. What natural remedy helps to keep youhealthy during this time? The answer is probably sitting in your kitchen cupboard. It’s garlic.
Garlic has been touted as a health booster for a long time, that’s nothing new. Anecdotal evidence, old wive’s tales, and folk medicine are full of uses for the herb. Turns out though, that they are actually pretty accurate.
A study done at the University of Alabama at Birmingham sheds some light on exactly why garlic is such a powerful herb. In the study researchers extracted juice from supermarket garlic and added small amounts to human red blood cells. The scientists discovered that the cells immediately began emitting hydrogen sulfide (HS2) which acts a cell messenger.
Interestingly, hydrogen sulfide is actually poisonous at high concentrations. It is, infact, the same smelly byproduct of the oil refining process that smells like rottingeggs. But our bodies also make our own supply of hydrogen sulfide, which acts as an antioxidant in the body and transmits cellular signals that relax blood vessels and increase blood flow.
During the cold and flu season this natural antioxidant booster helps us stay healthy, fending off oncoming illness causing germs. The fact that it also relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow also plays a key role in keeping us healthy. Increased blood flow improves our immune system, it allows the body to operate more efficiently, sending white blood cells wherever they need to be in the body to ward off any unwanted invaders.
While fending off colds and flus is a definite plus, the benefits of garlic go far beyond that. Boosting hydrogen sulfide also helps to protect against many cancers, including breast, prostate, and colon cancers. The increase in hydrogen sulfide also appears to help protect the heart. And improving blood flow and relaxing bloodvessels certainly will help lower the risk of heart disease, the number one killer in the U.S.
How much garlic does it take? The amounts used in the research were equal toabout 2 cloves of garlic per day. If you are not used to eating garlic that may seem like a lot, but in reality it isn’t. In countries such as Italy, Korea, and China where the traditional diet uses lots of garlic in foods, per capita consumption averages 10 cloves per day. If you simply start adding a bit of garlic to your favorite recipes, it isvery easy to increase your garlic intake and benefit your health.
One thing to note though, rather than mince the garlic and toss it into your recipe to be cooked with the other ingredients, it is more beneficial to crush it and let it sit for about 15 minutes while you prepare the rest of the recipe. This activates enzymes that boost the healthy compounds of the herb. Add the crushed garlic to your dish right at the very end so that it gets warm, but does not cook.Want to learn more great methods to keep you and your family healthy?
